David Street Station screens ‘Up’ Friday; hosting the ‘Downtown Balloon Festival’ on Saturday

CASPER, Wyo.– With the Casper area set to celebrate hot air balloons this weekend, David Street Station is planning events to add to the festivities.

The Disney and Pixar movie “Up” premieres at 7 p.m. Friday, July 29 as part of the “Cinema at the Station” summer series. As a fundraiser, David Street Station is hosting a raffle with the chance to win a Disney World VIP Experience package.

The winner will be announced at the final “Cinema at the Station” event of the summer on August 26, according to David Street Station. Raffle tickets are available online.

In addition to the summer-long ‘Cinema at the Station’ raffle to win the Disney package, David Street Station will be giving away a basket of goodies to people attending Friday’s screening of ‘Up’ who purchase a raffle ticket during of the screening. The basket will include:

  • DVD “Up”
  • Scentsy ‘Up’ themed warmer
  • Two admissions to Casper Recreation Center
  • Pack of four Crumbl cookies
  • $10 Donnells Candy Gift Card
  • $5 gift certificate at Cochon Bourgeois
  • David Street Station Cover
  • David Street Station hat
  • Packet of bubbles

David Street Station will also host the “Downtown Balloon Festival” from 6-9pm on Saturday. Hot air balloon baskets, also called “candlesticks”, will be on display, while pilots will be at the festival to talk about hot air balloons.

Kaspen Haley Music/Boxelder Stomp will play live music at the Downtown Balloon Festival, and cold drinks, food, face paint, lawn games and more will be available.

The balloon-themed celebrations at David Street Station will take place amid the Casper Balloon Rally from Friday to Sunday. More information about this event is available in this article.
