Greeley Business Owner to Join Big Balloon Build for Indiana Fundraiser – Greeley Tribune

A local business owner will join dozens of other balloon artists from around the world for a balloon build supporting the United Way of Knox County, Indiana.

Allison Dunning, owner of Balloon Art by Merry Makers, will lead one of many teams of professional balloon artists at The Big Balloon Build next week in Vincennes, Indiana. Organized by Liz Romani of Valley Party Supply in Vincennes, proceeds will be donated to United Way of Knox County. The construction and associated events bring national and international attention to the chosen charity and its mission, according to a press release from Balloon Art.

Romani will work with 65 balloon artists from around the world to create an interpretation of CandyLand, the classic children’s board game. Hasbro and Hershey’s have joined the effort, with sponsors and community members having already raised $180,000.

“I am delighted to volunteer my time and talent to help one of my colleagues in the ball industry create this incredible event,” Dunning said in the statement. “To be chosen to lead one of the teams is a true honor and a testament to the hard work and dedication I have to my industry.”

Work on the display begins Monday and ends Thursday. United Way of Knox County will host Immersive Designs events on April 9 and 10.
