Lily Collins is getting laid back with a little help from flowers on her Instagram.

The “Emily In Paris” actress grinned from ear to ear as she leaned against a concrete wall bestowed with orange smiley faces that matched her own massive smile. Collins posted the snapshot to her social media on Monday, July 12, 2022 after a flurry of birthday messages from husband Charlie McDowell.

The star slipped into long cream shorts with a loose fit and a delicate floral pattern. Lilacs and dandelions danced across the fabric, arranged in small patterns representing a garden scene. The high waisted shorts ballooned following a fitted waist, creating an interesting shape.

Collins paired the casual shorts with a black tee, a closet staple, with the star cropping the shirt with precision and a careful tuck. Collins wore an orange, blue and beige shoulder bag and kept a cream scrunchie around her wrist for emergencies, amplifying that laid-back vibe.

The actress donned large black sunglasses, perching them on her head, completing the simple, summery ensemble. Each neutral shade complements each other, with the star taking into consideration the existing color palette, turning it on its head with bright florals and oranges. Neutral shades are enhanced with whimsical patterns and futuristic colors, creating a welcome contrast.

Collins brought back the beige, slipping into cream-colored low-top sneakers. The soles, as well as the laces, sport a clean white color that creates another striking contrast that makes the shoes stand out. It’s a nice change from the plain white sneaker, the actress is breaking the mold in favor of more exciting neutrals. The shoes have little to no platform with rubber soles and have a rounded, modern silhouette. This outfit, with all its accessories, proves that casual and neutral doesn’t have to be boring and bland.
