The Oxford Balloon Festival has been confirmed for 2022 with a variety of entertainment ranging from fire eaters to fireworks.
Many people are desperate to resume the festival season which has been suspended for almost two years, although most people think of music festivals when they imagine extravagant weekends.
However, this one is a bit different, their USP being the legion of hot air balloons that fill the air each evening.

Organizers also strive to put on an event that benefits the community, with free tickets available for low-income families.
The weekend of August 19 and 20, from 12 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The festival is expected to bring a range of exciting entertainment as well as the hot air balloons themselves. It includes the likes of Bolddog, an FMX show team known for their jaw-dropping motorcycle stunts, and Clown Bluey with his fire brigade.
There will be a variety of food and drink stalls scattered around so you won’t go hungry. The night will be closed with a fireworks display and of course the king of the show, the hot air balloons will take off at 6 p.m. each evening.
Early bird tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for children. You can also pay £12 or £8 for adults and children at the door respectively. Children under 1 meter travel free. The Oxford Balloon Festival organizer said it hoped to be able to put tickets on sale by the end of March.
