QUINCY, Ill. – Quincy University will once again illuminate Friars’ Field (20e and College) with ten hot air balloons on Thursday, September 22. This free, family-friendly event will begin at 6 p.m. The hot air balloons will light up from 7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., weather permitting.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. from various vendors including TCBY, 8th Open, Tasty J’s, Melton’s Concessions, Wine on Broadway, Hebrews XI Coffee, Lemonade Factory, The Pizza Wagon, Tri-State SnoBiz.
On Friday September 23 at dawn, the balloons will take off from Friars’ Field, weather permitting.
Quincy Recycle is the title sponsor of the event this year. Other sponsors include Adams Fiber, Pinnacle Propane, Holiday Inn & Suites, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Mobile Entertainer, Refreshment Services Pepsi, Ameren Illinois, WGEM, Cell Tech, Shelter Insurance Agent Lisa Freed and Marie’s Boutique.
